SEATTLE - The Seattle SuperSonics announced today their 2006 NBA preseason schedule, which opens Wednesday, Oct. 11 in Portland when the Sonics take on the Blazers at the Rose Garden.
Also in 2006 preseason action, the Sonics will face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, Oct. 15 in Lawrence, Kan. as one of their three neutral-site games. The game will be played at Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Kansas where Seattle’s Nick Collison and Chicago’s Kirk Hinrich played as Jayhawks teammates from 1999 through 2003. The second neutral-site game is on Oct. 12 in Anaheim, Calif. against the Los Angeles Lakers and the final neutral-site contest is on Oct. 26 in Spokane vs. Golden State. The Sonics will host two preseason games at KeyArena including Friday, Oct. 20 vs. Portland and Wednesday, Oct. 25 vs. the Sacramento Kings.
Tickets for the two preseason games at KeyArena will go on sale later this summer. Reserved tickets for the Seattle vs. Golden State game in Spokane will go on sale this Saturday, June 24 at the Spokane Arena Box Office, all TicketsWest locations, online at TicketsWest.com or via phone at 509-325-SEAT. Tickets for the game are $90, $50, $35, $20 and $8 plus applicable service charges.
