Paul Pierce (29 points) and Kevin Garnett (22) combined for 51 points Wednesday night as the Celtics cruised to a 109-97 win over the Knicks.
Kendrick Perkins grabbed 12 rebounds and scored nine points as the C's dominated in the paint, taking down 45 boards compared with 37 for the Knicks. Floor leader Rajon Rondo had 12 assists, and Marquis Daniels came off the bench for 10 points.
Boston (43-24) now starts a difficult three-game road trip, traveling to Houston to take on the Rockets at 8:30 p.m. Friday night.
